Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

motorcycle accident

A truck pulled out in front of me and now my motorcycle is a total loss. I bought the bike on a finance promo 15 months ago so I virtually owe the financed amount still (I have essentially been paying intrest). The insurance company says they are going to give me fair market value which will leave me holding the bag for $1500 - $3000. Since they other party was at fault do I have any chance of recoupping any more money from the individual who was driving or the company he works for.

Re: motorcycle accident

Its hard to answer your question with the information you've provided. You didn't say who's insurance company is willing to pay. That makes a huge difference. You need to consult with an attorney who can ask you questions, see the police report and possibly review your insurance policy. It is "possible" that you have other options.
