Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

Out of State Ticket

I was on vacation in S.C. and had recieved a speeding ticket for 5 over. I had lost the ticket and forgot about it. I just found it and realized its about a month late. If I just pay it will that be sufficient, or should I contact someone to make sure there is no suspension on my license?
