Posession of personal belongings of deceased
I'm wondering when a person passes away and leaves certain belongings to her children and all other belongings are left in her home, do the children first have the option to buy these belonging before a stranger has a right to them? Because the estate is in arrears the lawyer handling the estste has allowed the owner of the mobile home park to enter the home and make a bid on all the belongings in it, then contacted the children to see if they were interested, the children all expressed interest and offered more for them than the other gentleman so now do they continue to bid or can the other man no longer be involved because the children have stated they wish to purchase them.?

The first thing you should do is to contact the Personal Representative of the estate who was appointed by the Probate Court.
You should also know that the estate is liable for the bills left unpaid. The attorney is trying to make sure that all of the bills are paid. He wants the items, if sold, to result in the highest dollar return in order to pay the bills.
Contact the personal representative and find out what he or she has authorized.
