Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in South Carolina

My mother died on feb. 1 2009 and had a large insurance policy, house, car and other property.

She only had two childred, me and my sister. My

sister is claiming everthing and would not even call

to inform me of my portion. That why i am contacting

you. Another problem i live in dallas,tx. In a homeless shelter and just found employment. Currently

my phone is only accepting voicemail messages, but

I'm sorry for your loss, but if your mother lived in South Carolina you really need to talk with an attorney in South Carolina about her estate. You need to be aware that the life insurance proceeds will go to the beneficiary named in the policy and not pass through her estate, and if she left a Will she may not have left anything to you.
