I have a hernia that was caused by my work

I am being told by the workers comp co. that handles comp for my employer that I can't receive treatment covered by worker's comp because I didn't feel immediate pain

I am sorry, but no lawyer can advise you with such little information. An attorney would need to know when you were injured, what sort of injuries you had, where you sought medical treatment, when you sought such treatment, etc. It is impossible to intelligently advise a person without knowing much more about the case.
