Legal Question in Workers Comp in South Carolina
I submitted a harassment claim at my place of employment that included a manager and several co-workers. The HR department did their investigation and stated that they could not find anyone to corroborate my experiences. I have PTSD due to child hood sexual abuse because of various things that have happened to my at my job, I have panic attacks and become very emotional and can not stay at work. I want to quit but if I do that I will not be able to apply for unemployment. I feel trapped now and have not been to work in a week & 1/2 because of my panic attacks. Do have any legal options to leave my job and apply for unemployment or options to file a legal suit?

I understand why you posted your question under Workers Compensation. I can see how that made sense. The problem is, I think you need to consult with a lawyer that specifically practices what is called Employment or Labor law. I have Workers Compensation experience, but I have never heard of anyone filing a claim based on what you have described. I cannot rule out a potential WC claim. There is no harm in continuing to get an answer about a WC claim. Try calling an Employment or Labor Law attorney and also continue to verify that WC can or cannot be used. My understanding is that a WC claim requires a specific injury. I wish you well.
