Legal Question in Business Law in South Dakota

I found a home daycare and started sending my children to it. Within 2 days, the daycare provider Fired us citing "irreconcilable differences". She still wants me to pay for two more weeks, but my children aren't even attending the daycare. She never had me sign any contract with her. Am I responsible for paying?

Any attorney will tell you these kinds of cases are highly fact dependent so it's not possible to say without reviewing all the facts and circumstances. Based on what you say, the daycare provider breached her end of any verbal (oral) contract. That should excuse performance (paying) on your end. But consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
