Legal Question in Business Law in South Dakota
job related
I gave my notice to my company in Sioux Falls SD. My notice was for April 16th, 2006. Because I was going to a competitor they walked me out last Thursday. When I got home I connected to my worksite computer and sent myself/hr the letter of resignation and I deleted my personal emails. Today I got a letter from the company requesting what my intentions were. They wanted me to clarify what drives I accessed and why and any deleted emails. Can I be in trouble for doing this?

Re: job related
You would only be in trouble if no one can prove what you deleted. You should have never had personal emails on your work computer.
