Ebay item refund take over 30 days?
I bought a ring off ebay and returned it. Received email from seller saying ''I usally give refunds in 30 days'' That seems like an extremely long time to get a refund. Is there any laws on the amount of time to get a refund back if he has my money and the item?

If that is his policy and it was posted, then that is his policy. Check EBay buyers rights area and see if they have a contrary policy. Of course, you should be able to negotiate this, because no seller wants a bad rating.
