Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Dakota
theft
I had my jewelry ($1,000 worth)stolen in March from my home in Pine Ridge and recently found out who stole them. She took them to one of the pawn shops in Rapid City. What can I do about that if I find them and identify them? I do have a witness who can testify that this person admitted to stealing my jewelry and sold them.

Why didn't you notify the police? I believe the actual theft was already reported & they should be notified of any additional information so not to close the case!
