Legal Question in Family Law in South Dakota

filing personal jurisdiction dispute

I was given a notice from the state of South Dakota to submit financial documents for child support. My wife is using the department of social services to collect support. I have been paying her an amount that we agreed on. She left Missouri in mid August, filed in early December. I am wanting to dispute the fact that South Dakota has the right to determine child support, I feel it should be done with through Missouri. How do I contest this request from South Dakota?

Re: filing personal jurisdiction dispute

My advice would be to hire an attorney in South Dakota who is familiar with these matters. Good luck!
