Legal Question in Family Law in South Dakota
Grandparents Rights
My daughter and husband have not let us see are two grandchildren for almost two years. They live on the reservation ( her husband is 1/2 indian). Legally what can we do to get visitation with our grandchildren, who are almost 5 and 3 3/4 years old.

Re: Grandparents Rights
Instead of worrying about what you might be able to do thru the court system (because there is likely nothing you can do, though it is possible the Indian nation where the child is living may have some rights for grandparents in such cases, and for that you should contact an attorney familiar with the laws of that Indian nation on that reservation), you would probably be best to focus your efforts on repairing your relationship with the parents so they agree to let you see the kids.
Re: Grandparents Rights
Would appear that the Reservation has legal jurisdiction and authority over your grands.
So, suggest that you contact the reservation "legal" authority to find out what your rights might be, if any, respecting your grands.
Good luck,
