Deceased renter/landlord rights

Our renter died leaving a rather large unpaid rent balance and a house that is going to need major repair/refurbishing. How do we go about collecting this from the estate? What do we need to do to secure our interest?

Was there a Deposit?

Have you made a Claim vs. Your casualty insurer?

You will need to find out who is PR likely through next of kin or probate court in cty where death occurred or of residence.
