Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Dakota
payment of utilities
I am renting a house. Utilities are in landlords name. He pays, I pay him. This is what he told me when moving in. It is not in our lease. Rent is current. We were behind for October & November utilities, now caught up. Still owe for December utilities, can he legally evict for this?

Re: payment of utilities
I would need to see the written lease to advise, but generally if your final agreement is to pay utilities and you fail to honor that agreement, you can be evicted.
