If a doctor performs surgery on a patient knowing full well this patient has no insurance nor the ability to pay, and inserts a stent that has to be removed. can this doctor refuse to remove the stent unless the patient pays ahead of time?

Re: medical
You should immediately contact a South Dakota medical malpractice attorney and ask the attorney those questions. You can find them through an internet search or through the South Dakota bar. Your question raises patient abandonment issues as well as medical malpractice issues; therefore, a medical malpractice lawyer will be in the best position to provide information to you. Best wishes.
Please be aware that my answer is not legal advice, it is merely information. You and I have not entered into an attorney/client relationship. The only way that I am legally responsible for your legal rights is if you have signed a written retainer agreement with my law firm.
