Child custody in Spain

Does Spanish law require both parents

be present for importent decisions made

for the childern? Do I need to sign any

document giving the mother sole rights

to make these decisions if I am not present?

There are treaties between the US and Spain that regulate various issues, including child custody. You should go over your situation with an attorney so they can get all the facts and tell you all of your rights in this situation. In the right situation, the FBI would even help find a US citizen child abroad and bring the child back to the custodial parent in the US.
