Legal Question in Disability Law in Tennessee

Can I be asked questions relating to my son's disability

I was at an interview for a management postion at the company I have been employeed at for fourteen years. When I was asked if my son who has Spina Bifida would interfere from me doing my job. They said sometimes you have to come on a five minute notice and asked would that be a problem.

Also another employee whom had brought of things against the current director listed me in a letter to the board members stated that I was the one whom did all the work, etc.

This was brought up during my interview and it became an interagation. Can they do that!

Re: Can I be asked questions relating to my son's disability

It depends on exactly what was asked. Generally, an employer cannot discriminate against you on the basis of a disability or your association with a person with a disability.
