2255 Motion - CI an Agent

I am trying to help my husband complete a 2255 motion for federal court. I have 2 questions. 1. Can a 2255 Motion contain law and cite cases? 2. Is a CI considered an agent? Thank you

You can cite law in a Habeas petition. If a snitch was sent in by the cops, then they are an agent of the government. If they went in on their own, probably not. For more info, see www.gsmithlawfirm.com
