Divorce Appeal Time Limet

A final divorce decree was entered and filed July 23, 2003 at 3:01 pm. An appeal of this ordere was filed Aug. 22, 2003 at 3:30 pm. This is 1/2 hour over the 30 day limet.

Will or can the court refuse this appeal for this 1/2 hour

Re: Divorce Appeal Time Limet

Under Tennessee law, a final order in a civil case may be appealed within 30 days of the entry of the order. Day "1" of the 30 days is the first day after the entry of the order. An appeal must be filed by the end of day "30." I hope this information helps you.
