bankruptcy on court fines and costs
is it possible to file bankruptcy on court fines and costs?? i have numerous fines adding up to about 5,000 dollars and the only way i can reinstate my dl is if i pay them off...that would take forever!!

The general answer is 'yes', but it still depends on the type of fines they are. Generally, unpaid traffic fines, etc. can be eliminated in bankruptcy. But you must know that you cannot pick and choose the debts you wish to eliminate. Bankruptcy is an all or nothing proceeding. You must list ALL of your debts and ALL of your assets.
