Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee
check advance places
I have a friend who has gotten in over her head at these check advance places. In addition to them, she has other sizeable delinquent debt. If she files bankruptcy, she thinks that the check advance places can't be included on the bankruptcy. One of them has the title to her car as well. The fees and penalties of the check advances are consuming her entire paycheck but she thinks they are exempt from bankruptcy.

Re: check advance places
What makes her believe that the check advance businesses are exempt from her bankruptcy? Unless there's more information that your friend hasn't disclosed, she's been given incorrect information.
