Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee
Credit Report
I started to file bankruptcy in 1999. I completed only part of the paper work required. I decided that I did not want to go through with the bankruptcy but it was added to my credit file as dismissed. Can this be included on my credit report even if I didnt complete the paperwork and follow through by going to court?

Re: Credit Report
If your bankruptcy petition was actually filed with the court, it can be included on your credit report even if your bankruptcy was dismissed soon after filing.
