Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee
Divorced bought house together and filed bankruptcy
my question is me and my x were divorced and bought a house together. both of our names are on the lein to the house. We no longer are together and one one lives in the house. he wants to file chapter 7 on the house can he do this without my signature on the bankruptcy papers?Or does he have to have to have my signature also? thank you Paula

Your ex-husband has an absolute right to file bankruptcy with or without your consent. He is not required to get your signature or permission.
