Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

I just got engaged and my fiance said he was told he was in a lifelong bankruptcy. Is there such a thing and if so is there any way to change it....

There's no such thing as a "life long bankruptcy." Perhaps he's saying that he had debt for which he did not get a discharge. That would mean he still owes it unless it has been paid.
