Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee
Our house was just auctioned off so we had to move to an apt. My question: 2 of the managers
at our new apt. told us we could keep our Rottweiler since it is for my husbands therapy. She met our Rott and loved him, he is so gentle. They put us in an apt. way in the back where we are facing
the woods. About 2 months after we were here I got a call from the manager said we had 72 hours to get rid of our Rott or move out. She said someone called about his barking. I did not get a letter
from the Management company just a phone call from the manager that loved him. Rotts are not allowed here but she said we could have him. My husband is 66 and has lost 20 lbs. since we
can't have our Rott. Is it legal what they did? Please respond. Thank you Sandy

If you have a written agreement, the written agreement will control. If not, then you've got an oral month to month lease. If oral, they can't kick you out without giving you notice for the same length of time as the rent; If paid by the month, then 30 days.
