Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

Memphis, TN I was in a Chapter 13, but I have lost my Job. I don't have the funds to file a chapter 7, my only asset is a 2005 car. I need it to look for work. What are my options?

You are in the right place ... contact the law school in Memphis. They often have 3rd year students who assist low income individuals work through the system with the aid of a facility advisory. A conversion from Chapter 13 to Chapter 7 is something I think they would accept. Check with the law school for a formal program and if you hit a dead end - find out who teaches bankruptcy and contact them directly.

I would think there is a legal aid society in Memphis as well but I would try the law school first.
