Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

Occupants of Apartment

I filed for Ch 13 but converted to Ch 7. There was a debt from the Apartment Complex where I used to stay. My boyfriend at the time was listed as a occupant. He did not sign at the time that I started leasing. The complex has issued a lien against his check. Can they do this?

Unless your boyfriend signed a lease or some written document adding him to the lease I don't think the apartment complex can take action against him. ph. (800) 303-0720
