When You file for Bankruptcy does your Banker and Employer find out about the bankruptcy ?
I have over $ 47,000.00 in unsecured credit card debt, have lost my job and over $ 1,000.00 in monthly income.
What kind of Bankruptcy would I file?

Depending on the type of bankruptcy you file, your employer may or may not necessarily discover the filing. However, it is more likely that your banker will know of the filing for a number of reasons, not the least of which is many bankers watch that type of information.
Exactly which bankruptcy chapter you should file under is something that can only be determined after you speak with an experienced bankruptcy attorney. Short answer -- You would file under Chapter 7.
Your employer does not need to know about your filing. Your bank would possibly have to know if you have current loans with them.
