I recently filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and I am now in need of a new car will i be able to apply for credit

Sure you can apply, but may have difficulty because of the nearness in time to your filing. I'd suggest that you attempt to purchase a lower priced car at a seller that will finance it. Do your best not to get caught up in debt again after just coming out of bankruptcy. There is not legal restriction on you borrowing money.
