Boss not paying

My lanscaping boss has not paid me for 56 hours that I have worked. It has been 6 weeks since my last check. I call him and he does not answer or call back. I was wondering how do I go about getting my money

You have 2 options if your employer is refusing to pay you for hours that you have worked. The first is that you can go to either the federal Department of Labor or the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Either of these agencies can take and process a complaint against your employer. Your other option is to file a lawsuit against your employer for unpaid wages. In either instance you may encounter difficulty with the collection process.
