Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee
Who can be deposed?
I have received a notice of deposition and subpoena of business documents. I am neiter plaintiff nor defendant in this civil litigation. I have received no information regarding the litigation. What rights do I have? Can I unwittingly place myself in a vulnerable position or be brought into the litigation via the deposition process?

Re: Who can be deposed?
Although unlikely, it is possible that you could be exposing yourself to liability. It is impossible to completely evaluate your situation without examining and/or at least discussing with you the details of the situation. As with most situations of this sort, it would be a good idea to speak with an attorney. If you would like a further consult on this matter, you can email me at [email protected]
