Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee
Membership
I have a membership at a local gym. Only until recently have I had a lapse in going. In doing so, the owners of the gym sold out to another company. With that they sold my direct draft of funds for membership. This was done without any notification. What are the grounds here?

Re: Membership
They are most likely within their rights. Check your membership agreement to see if it gives them the authority to do this. Even without specific language in the agreement there is nothing obviously illegal about assigning a ACH to a purchaser of a business.
