Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee
non compete/non--disclosure agreement
I was an independent contractor and quit 6 weeks ago. My employer owes me for worked I did as far back as 3 months ago. After agreeing to a notarized W-9 and a completed job application as all he need for his files in order to pay me, he know wants me to sign this non-compete/disclosure agreement before I get my money. This is in TN. Do I have to sign since I haven't worked there for 6 weks?

Re: non compete/non--disclosure agreement
In short, no. If the work has been done, then you are entitled to get paid.
