Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee
Promissory Notes
Is it legal to deduct $ for personal use of company credit card?
Can this $ be deducted from a person's paycheck if they sign an agreement to do so?
I was having trouble finding answers to the above questions.

Re: Promissory Notes
Provided that the deduction does not cause your wages to fall below the federal minimum wage ($5.15/hr), in Tennessee, the answer is yes. If the deduction does cause your wages to fall below minimum wage, then you may have a claim for the unpaid amount of these wages. Of course, at the same time, your employer also has a claim against you for the personal use of the credit card.
