Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee
selling a business
i have sold a restaurant business and some equipment,and not the building. the new oweners have signed a new lease with the owner.we have signed the papers saying what we sold and the price of agreement.the new oweners and i were to meet at the bank 1-2-07 for me to get the money. they never showed up and when i called them they are now stalling to give me the money. can i make them get out of the restaurant and take it back until i receive the money?

It depends on what the language of the written agreement was. If this is substantial and you need to press on them, you would be well-advised to gather together your paperwork and schedule a consultation with an attorney.
