Legal Question in Business Law in Tennessee

In the state of tennessee, is it legal to use the state's name as part of a company name? for example "Tennessee Concrete Mixers" on a second note, The company name I am looking to use has the following initals in it: "TSA" so that I do not offend the Transportation Security Administration am I able to use the letters like so, or do I need to use something along the line of T.S.A.?

Most trademark attorneys will tell you, as long as your use of the state's name does not suggest an affiliate with a state agency. As far as initials go, there are a ton of these in use by everyone, so that's probably not an issue - unless you called your business F.B.I. etc. Consult with a trademark attorney in your area for specific advice.
