Under Tennessee statute or case law, are attorney fees recoverable in a breach of contract case, where the contract itself does not provide for attorney fees?

A carefully drawn contract oftentimes includes
a provision to cover attorney fees if and when
the contract is ever breached. Without such a
clause in the contract, Tennessee does not
allow recovery of attorney fees.
