Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Tennessee

fingerprinting city employees for time clock

I work for a fire department in TN. The city is trying to make us use a time clock that uses a fingerprint device. I feel they are not entitled to take my fingerprints for this purpose. How can I fight this invasion of privacy?
