bond

a few years back my wife had me arrested for stalking, i had to pay $2000.00 bail on a 20.000.00 bond. when we went to court i proved she was cheating on me. i was found not guilty. can i get the money back i payed ?

Re: bond

The 10%($2000)of the total bail bond which you paid over to a bondsman who guranteed the rest with the court was only for the purpose of assuring your appearance at court and for no other reason.

When the proceedings were concluded and you were found not guilty of the stalking offense, the bondsman should've returned to you your $2000 minus his standard charge(s) for the cost of fronting the bond.

Perhaps, you forgot to ask for the return of your funds.
