Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Tennessee

dismissed case

I was sued for a loan that I owed. At the trial, the loan company nor their attorney showed up. The judge dismissed the case. Now I have been served to go again for the exact same case. Iwas under the impression that if it was dismissed by the judge that it couldn't be tried again. Am I wrong?

Re: dismissed case

A dismissed case is done so without prejudice which means the case can be brought again. If it happens again ask the judge to dismiss with prejudice.
