Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Tennessee

Last fall, I won my small claims case. However, I cannot locate the defendant. Since she had been evicted from her apartment, the only address I had for her was at her workplace (she has her court papers served to her here so I know it was a valid address for her). After I won the case, I filed for garnishment. When I checked up on it a few weeks later, I discovered that the garnishment has not been fulfilled because the defendant had stopped working at her company. When I called her company, they told me they did not have her in their system, because she was most likely working there through a temp agency. I know her full name and birthdate, so what I want to do is get a court order so I can obtain her SSN through the DMV. What would be the best way to hunt her down?

I recommend that you contact a private investigator or collection agency to "skiptrace" the judgment debtor. You can do an investigation yourself by contacting former co-workers or neighbors to see what information can be obtained as to current employment, etc.; however, in doing so you might make a mistake that would then give the debtor a cause of action against you. Let the "professionals" do the investigation.
