Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Tennessee

I hate to tell you but your only recourse is to pay them and then sue your ex. The deal the furniture rental company had is with you, or so it appears. The court cannot change that deal but it can order your ex to pay it. However, that does not relieve you of the debt - it only give you a cause of action against him if he does not pay. You do not have to pay them before you can bring an action against your ex but if you want them to leave you alone that is probably the only way.
