Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Tennessee

I just recently found out that a Collection Law Firm put a lein on my home. I had a used vehicle repoed. The bank I made the loan with was very helpful. My wife and I found out that she had cancer. The Loan Officer was very helpful. She explained what would happen. The repo showed up

on my credit report. After time the bank wrote the loan off. The repo was in 1999. I just recently found out that a Lein was put on my home for over $40,000. I had just purchase a tis new home about 2 years ago without any problems showing up on my credit report. I was not aware that a Collection Law Firm could buy the loan from the bank, after the loan was written off. Is there anyway to fight this. The repo was in Louisiana. The lein is on my home in TN.Sincerely.

There are ways to deal with this but I would need to know more facts about the repo process in your case, whether you were ever sued for the debt and any other facts you might have. Feel free to email me.
