old medical bill
I just recieved a bill from a collection agecy for a Dr. bill from 1996.they cannot tell me who the Dr. is or who the patient was.They said in the letter if I payed half it would be settled.I had med insurence in 1996 with just a Co-pay

They can no longer report this bill to your credit report because it is older than 7 years. That is why they are trying to settle for half. If they call again, tell them you don't pay debts without proof that you owe it.
