Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Tennessee

Subpoena

If you get a subpoena to appear in

court and are unable to attend on

that day is there a way to postpone?

It is a judgement against me for a

$6,000 credit card balance owed.

Father is having surgery in another

state on the day I am suppose to

appear. Is there a way to request a

new court date?

Re: Subpoena

Call the attorney that represents the credit card company and ask that the matter be reset for a specific day (maybe a week later). If you are willing to set a specific day that isn't 6 months from now, he will probably agree to reset it.
