Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
Please advise
I am in the military and I have been arrested for domestic violence.This is my first offense and I will be appearing in court on Feb 11, 2009.I really regret what I have done and I want to seek counseling with my wife.Also my wife has an protective order against me and I was told no contact yet she is contacting me by via eamil and letter.What is the worst case scenerio and will they take into consideration that this is my first time?

You need to contact an attorney. IMMEDIATELY.
There are ways to handle these cases -- I have done so many times. But they have to be handled carefully.
If handled right you can end up with everything dismissed and no effect on your life or career.
If handled wrong, you end up with a conviction, a divorce, and losing your career.
