Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
must i have an attorney
someone accused me of committing a crime i really did not commit. i was arrested and made bond. the accuser. later signed a document stating he had been dishonest. i don't feel that i need an attorney since i have the letter clearing me for this wrong doing. my question is , is this letter sufficient enough?

You don't HAVE to have a lawyer with you any more than you have to use a doctor or go to the hospital for open heart surgery. You could do it yourself. Not a good idea, but you would be allowed to.
Have an attorney with you just to make sure you are treated properly.
