Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee

i was charged with aggravated assault with a handgun. heres what happened: i was drunk, and asked girlfriend to open bedroom door to talk to me, she wouldnt. i busted it down and still she wouldnt talk to me. i then said fine ill take of the problem....i came back carrying my gun and asking her to shoot me. she said no, of course and i then put the gun to my own head. i said fine i can handle this myself, went outside and fired 6 times in the air. i came back in she was in the back bedroom i asked her to talk to me, she came out answered the door and the cops arrested me. my question is, is this aggravated assault? i never touched her, threatened her or anything. i was drunk im an alcoholic and bipolar...i wanted to harm myself. she called the cops bc she was worried i might hurt myself. she told the same story to the cops but still they charged me with agg assault against her???can i get out of this?
