Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
I was charged with 4 counts of shoplifting from Wal-Mart. total value of stuff was less than 40 dollars. can they go back and look at the video's and charger me with more when I go to court? and do you think I could get jail time for those charges?

The first part of your question is easy ... yes. They can go back and review video from inside the store and add charges, up until the statute of limitations runs out (for misdemeanors, one year after the crime).
As for the second part ... that's up to the prosecution and the judge, in conflict with your defense attorney. No law requires you to go to jail, but if a Defendant is a chronic repeat offender, 9 out of 10 judges will order a period of jail service.
