Legal Question in Criminal Law in Tennessee
I am being charged with fraudulent, false or fictitious claim against the government. I believe I did nothing wrong, but I am afraid I am about to go through a life changing matter no matter how things work out. I need help, but have never been in a situation like this before. I was sent a letter from the United States Attorney Eastern District of Tennessee. I was getting living allowance from my employer from living away from my permanent home in Texas. My wife spent part of the time there and part of the time with me in Tennessee. They are saying I did not have a home in Texas. I signed a document saying the Texas home was my permanent resident and my wife lived there. I did not think she had to stay there all the time. My belongings are there, I lived there between jobs(I work construction and work out of state most of the time.) What are my options here.
